Sing with the Stars

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 03/15/2026

Introduction

Sing with the Stars is a U.S.-based company, and we provide our services only to users in the United States. This Privacy Policy covers all of our websites and online services (our "web properties") and explains in clear language what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your privacy. No EU Use: Our website and services are not intended for EU/UK residents, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are an EU or UK resident, please refrain from using our site or providing any personal data.

Information We Collect

We collect three types of information: (1) information you directly provide to us, (2) information collected automatically when you use our sites, and (3) information obtained from third-party sources.

Information You Provide: This is information that you choose to give us. For example, when you sign up, fill out a form, or contact us, we may ask for personal details like your name, email address, phone number, or other contact information. If you make a purchase, our payment processor collects your payment information on our behalf. If you call us or we call you, the content of that conversation may be recorded (see Phone Calls and Recordings below).

Information Collected Automatically: When you visit or use our sites, we automatically collect certain data about your visit. This includes technical information (such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system) and usage information (such as the pages you visit, the links you click, and the time you spend on our site). We gather this data through cookies and similar tracking technologies (described below) to understand how our site is used and to improve your experience. We also use session recording tools that capture how you interact with our pages, including mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and form interactions (see Session Recording below).

Information from Third-Party Sources: To better understand and serve our prospective customers, we may obtain additional information about you from third-party data providers. This can include professional information such as your employer, job title, and business contact details. We combine this information with what you have provided to us in order to personalize our communications and improve our services. We only use reputable data providers who represent that they have the right to share this information with us.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes to operate and improve our services, including:

  • To Provide and Maintain Services: We use your information to operate our website and services and to give you the features and functionality you expect. For example, we use it to display content, remember your preferences, or process any actions you take on our site. This allows us to provide, maintain, and improve our services, and fulfill any requests or transactions you initiate.
  • To Communicate with You: We may use your contact information to send you updates or respond to inquiries. For instance, if you submit a question or request, we'll use your email to get back to you. We might also send service-related announcements or important information about your account or use of our site (for example, booking confirmations or critical event updates).
  • To Improve and Personalize Your Experience: Information about how you use our sites helps us make them better. We analyze usage patterns to fix technical issues, develop new features, and understand what content is most useful to our users. It also helps us personalize your experience and tailor our communications to your interests.
  • For Marketing and Promotions: We may use your information to send you promotional content or offers. This could include newsletters, special deals, or reminders about events. We will only send you marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time (see Your Choices below). We also use data (including data collected via cookies) to show you relevant ads about Sing with the Stars on other platforms.
  • For AI-Assisted Analysis: We use artificial intelligence tools to help us improve our services. This includes using AI to transcribe and analyze phone calls (to better understand how we can help you), to classify and prioritize inquiries, and to assist in drafting personalized communications. Some messages you receive from us may be drafted with the assistance of AI tools and reviewed by our team. AI-generated insights help us match you with the right experiences and improve our overall service quality.
  • To Ensure Security and Prevent Fraud: We may use data to protect our website and our users. This includes monitoring for fraudulent activity, security breaches, or violations of our terms. Using data in this way helps us keep our services safe and secure for everyone.

We use your information only for the purposes above and for any other legitimate business purpose that is consistent with our relationship with you, our operations, or as required by law. While we use AI-assisted tools to analyze interactions and personalize communications (as described above), we do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on you without human review. All of these uses are aimed at running our business, providing you with a great experience, and communicating with you as needed.

How We Share Your Information

We understand the importance of your personal information, and we handle it carefully. Here is how we may share information, and with whom:

  • Service Providers and Partners: We share your information with trusted third-party companies that help us run our website and services. These service providers include:
    • Payment processing: Stripe processes payments on our behalf and receives your payment card information, email, and billing details.
    • Customer relationship management: We use Close CRM to manage our communications and sales process. Your contact information, communication history, and interaction details are stored in this system.
    • Messaging services: We use Sendblue and Twilio to send and receive SMS/text messages. Your phone number and message content pass through these services.
    • Email delivery: Resend delivers transactional and marketing emails on our behalf.
    • Scheduling: When you book a call with us, your name, email, and scheduling details are shared with Calendly.
    • Analytics and advertising: Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Meta (Facebook), and Microsoft Clarity help us understand site usage and measure advertising effectiveness (see Cookies and Tracking Technologies below).
    • AI services: We use OpenAI and Anthropic to process call transcripts, analyze communications, and assist with drafting messages. These providers process data under contract and do not use your information for their own purposes.
    • Data enrichment: We use third-party data services to supplement the information you provide with professional details such as employer and job title.
    • Error monitoring: Sentry helps us detect and fix technical issues. Error reports may incidentally contain personal information.
    • Hosting and infrastructure: Railway hosts our application, and Cloudflare delivers our content and media.

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their specific services for us, and they are not allowed to use your information for anything other than assisting us under our instructions.

  • Legal Requirements and Protection: We might disclose information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that it's necessary to comply with a legal obligation. For example, we may have to respond to valid subpoenas or court orders. We may also share information if needed to protect our rights or safety or the rights, safety, and property of our users or others. This could include sharing information with law enforcement to investigate fraud or security issues.
  • Business Transfers: If Sing with the Stars is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information might be transferred as part of that deal. We would ensure any new owner continues to honor the privacy commitments we've made in this policy. We would also notify you (for example, via our website) of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
  • No Selling of Personal Information: We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. In other words, we do not share your personal data with unrelated companies so they can market to you. The only sharing of your data that happens is with the service providers and partners above, and solely to help us provide our services or run our advertising/analytics (not for their independent use). If we ever wanted to use or share your information in a materially different way, we would seek your permission first.
  • SMS Messaging Service: We will not share your consent to receive text messages with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing our messaging service to you. We may share your personal data with third parties that help us deliver text messages, including messaging platform providers and phone companies. If we disclose your personal data to affiliates or subsidiaries, their use of your data will be subject to this Policy. Your text messaging consent data will not be shared with any third parties other than the providers that help us deliver messages.

Phone Calls and Recordings

When you speak with us by phone, your call may be recorded for quality assurance, training, and record-keeping purposes. Call recordings may be transcribed and analyzed using AI tools to help us improve our services and better understand your needs. By engaging in a phone call with Sing with the Stars, you consent to the recording, transcription, and analysis of that call. If you do not wish to be recorded, please let us know at the beginning of the call.

Session Recording

We use session recording tools (including Microsoft Clarity and Mixpanel) to capture and analyze how visitors interact with our website. These tools may record your mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and interactions with page elements. Session recordings help us identify usability issues, understand how people navigate our site, and improve the overall experience. These recordings do not capture passwords or payment information. You can opt out of session recording by disabling cookies in your browser or using browser extensions that block tracking scripts.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Like many websites, we use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information and enhance your experience on our site. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us recognize you when you return, keep you logged in (if applicable), remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with our content. We also use other technologies like pixels, tags, and scripts provided by our partners that function similarly to cookies.

What we use these for: Some cookies are necessary for our site to function (for example, to remember that you logged in). Others help us improve our site performance and understand usage (analytics cookies), and some are used for advertising to show you relevant promotions for Sing with the Stars on other websites or social media.

Tracking tools we use: We work with third-party services that set their own cookies or similar technologies on our site to help us with analytics and advertising. Important tools and partners we use include:

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) – This is a snippet of code from Meta (Facebook) that tracks visitor activity on our website. It lets us understand how people interact with our site after seeing our ads on Facebook or Instagram. We also send certain conversion events to Meta from our server (known as the Conversions API) to improve ad measurement accuracy. The Meta Pixel and Conversions API may process hashed versions of your email address, phone number, and a unique identifier to match your activity with your Meta profile. This helps us measure ad effectiveness and reach people with relevant content.
  • Google Analytics – We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect data about how our site is used. Google Analytics uses a tracking code to gather details on website traffic and user behavior. It can tell us things like how often someone visits, which pages are most popular, what country users are in, and what actions they take on the site. We may also pass a user identifier to Google Analytics to understand usage across sessions. This information helps us improve the site and understand our audience.
  • Mixpanel – Mixpanel is an analytics platform that we use to track user interactions and events on our site. It gives us insight into how people engage with various features of our website. Mixpanel also provides session replay functionality (described in the Session Recording section above) that records how users interact with our pages to help us improve usability.
  • Microsoft Clarity – Microsoft Clarity is an analytics tool that provides session recordings and heatmaps showing how visitors interact with our website. It captures mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behavior to help us understand how people use our site and identify areas for improvement. Clarity may connect with your Microsoft account data for analytics purposes. You can learn more at Microsoft's privacy statement.
  • Google reCAPTCHA – We use Google reCAPTCHA on certain forms to protect our site from spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information (such as device and application data, including your IP address) and sends it to Google for analysis. This data is used to determine whether you are a human or a bot and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

These third-party tools may set their own cookies or use other identifiers to collect data about your browsing on our site. Each of these providers may also use the information on our behalf (for example, Google and Meta use the data collected to provide us analytics or advertising services). We encourage you to review the privacy policies of Meta, Google, Mixpanel, and Microsoft if you want more details on how they handle the information they collect via their tools.

Please note that cookies and tracking tools do not give us access to things like your personal files or photos on your device, and they cannot run programs. They are limited to collecting information described in this policy (like what pages you visit on our site, etc.). If you ever have questions about the specific cookies we use, feel free to contact us.

Your Choices and Controls

We believe it's important that you have control over your personal information and how it's used. Here are some of the choices you have:

  • Cookie Controls: You can control or restrict cookies through your browser settings. Most web browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. You can also set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being placed. If you choose to disable cookies, please note that some parts of our site might not work properly (for example, certain preferences might not be saved). However, you will still be able to use our sites for basic browsing even with cookies disabled. For more information on managing cookies, check your browser's help section.
  • Opting Out of Targeted Advertising: Many advertising platforms allow you to adjust your ad privacy settings. For example, on Facebook you can adjust your ad preferences, and Google provides Ad Settings where you can control personalized ads. You can also opt out of many cookie-based ads from multiple companies via industry sites like the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) or Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) websites. Using these tools can help reduce targeted ads, though you may still receive general ads.
  • Opting Out of Session Recording: You can prevent session recording by disabling JavaScript or using browser extensions that block tracking scripts from Microsoft Clarity and Mixpanel. Disabling cookies will also limit session recording functionality.
  • Marketing Emails and Communications: If you subscribe to our newsletter or receive promotional emails from us, you can opt out at any time. Every marketing email we send will include an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom. Simply click that link, and you will be able to stop receiving those emails. You can also opt out of specific types of messages or update your communication preferences by contacting us directly. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you important administrative emails (for example, a notice about a policy update or a booking confirmation) when necessary.
  • Do Not Track: Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that lets you tell websites you do not want to be tracked. Currently, our websites do not respond to DNT signals because there is not a consistent standard for how to interpret them. We continue to monitor industry developments around DNT. In the meantime, you can use the other options described here (like browser cookie controls and the opt-outs above) to manage tracking preferences.
  • Your State Privacy Rights: Certain state privacy laws provide residents of specific states with rights regarding their personal information. If you are a resident of a state with a comprehensive privacy law (including but not limited to California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states that have enacted consumer privacy legislation), you may have some or all of the following rights under your state's privacy law:
  • Right to Access: You can ask us for the personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Correction: You can ask us to correct any inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Deletion: You can request that we delete personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Know About Automated Processing: You can ask us about any automated processing we perform on your data, including AI-assisted analysis.

These rights apply only to residents of those states, and only when required by applicable law. We will honor valid requests to exercise the above rights as required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy rights you do have under applicable law. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information at the bottom of this policy.

Remember, it's your data and your experience, and we want you to feel comfortable. If you have any questions about changing your preferences or opting out of certain features, please reach out to us and we'll be happy to help.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically:

  • Account and contact information: We retain your name, email, phone number, and related details for as long as we have an active relationship with you, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you re-engage with our services.
  • Transaction records: Purchase and payment records are retained for at least seven years for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Communication records: SMS messages, email correspondence, and call recordings are retained for up to two years after your last interaction with us, unless needed longer for legal or compliance purposes.
  • Analytics and session data: Website analytics data and session recordings are retained according to our third-party providers' retention policies, typically between 30 days and 14 months depending on the provider.

If you request deletion of your personal information, we will honor that request subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records. We will let you know if any such exceptions apply.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. Sing with the Stars uses industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include technical safeguards (such as encryption of data transmissions, where applicable, and secure servers) and organizational practices (limiting access to personal data to only those employees and contractors who need it to perform their duties).

However, please understand that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal data and use commercially acceptable means to do so, we cannot guarantee absolute security. For example, although we encrypt many of our services and data, there is always a residual risk that data could be accessed unlawfully. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

We encourage you to also take steps to protect yourself online. Use strong passwords, keep them confidential, and log out of accounts when using a shared device. If you believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of an account has been compromised), please contact us immediately so we can address the issue.

U.S.-Only Service and Non-Applicability of GDPR

Sing with the Stars is intended for users in the United States only. We do not knowingly offer our services to, or target, individuals outside the U.S. All our data storage and processing is done in the U.S. under U.S. laws. This means that European data protection laws (including GDPR) do not apply to our operations, since GDPR protections apply to residents of the European Union. If you are using our services from outside the U.S., please be aware that your information will be collected and stored in the United States, and by using our site you consent to that.

We comply with applicable U.S. privacy laws. For example, if you are a California resident, you may have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or other state laws. While our user base is U.S.-only and primarily not subject to GDPR, we still value transparency and data privacy. If you have any questions about how we handle data with respect to any privacy regulations, you can contact us and we will do our best to answer or accommodate your concerns.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update or change this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Effective Date" so you can see when the changes took effect. If the changes are significant, we may also notify you by email (if we have your email on file) or by placing a prominent notice on our website. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of our services after any changes to this policy will signify your acceptance of the updated terms.

This Privacy Policy is current as of the Effective Date listed at the top. If we update the policy, we will let you know by updating the Effective Date and outlining the changes in a changelog or notice.
